With Villa Idun-Lee, architects Per Nadén and Anton Kolbe wanted to created a visually and environmentally sustainable project that explored the use of wood in different ways.

To not hide away everyday life became a dominant theme, another was to not conceal the building’s structure and materials. At the heart of the house is a solid brick wall, containing an ingenious heating system along with storage and recessed light sources. The design and building-process was done in close collaboration with the building’s owners, Axel von Friesen och Marika Andersson Vaccino, and the result is a personal house characterised by its playful pragmatism and consistent palette.
